Privacy fences usually use 5 by 5 inch posts. Lighter picket fences often use 4 by 4. Taller or heavier runs may need 6 by 6. Gate posts, wide gates and dark colors call for stiffeners.

Post grades
Homeland offers Utility and Standard grades in 4 and 5 inch posts, and Standard only in 6 inch. Wall thickness is published for each grade. Ask us which grade your run needs.
