Why we only sell Homeland vinyl

All of our vinyl is Homeland. See the difference side by side: thicker walls, real UV protection, stiffer profiles, American manufacturing and a limited lifetime warranty.

See the difference

Two simple tests show it. Hold a picket up to a light: thin vinyl glows through. Bend it: thin vinyl flexes and sags, while a Homeland profile stays stiff.

Four things you can check for yourself

You do not have to take our word for it. Ask these four questions about any vinyl fence.

  1. Who makes it?

Know the manufacturer. Homeland Vinyl Products has made vinyl fence in the USA for years and has a plant in Winter Park, Florida.

  2. Hold it up to the light

Thin vinyl glows. Check light transmission before you buy.

  3. Ask about UV inhibitors

Florida sun yellows cheap vinyl. Ask what protects the color.

  4. Get the warranty in writing

A good warranty is specific. Ask for the written terms and read them.

Built for Florida sun

Every Homeland fence profile contains titanium dioxide as a UV inhibitor, and the protective outer layer includes ACCU-Shield for impact resistance. The colors hold up better and the surface resists chalking.

Tested for Florida wind

In an Intertek lab test using the Miami-Dade protocol, a 6 ft privacy fence on 5 in posts with aluminum inserts held 1.5 times the Florida Building Code design load for 24 hours. This is a laboratory result, not a product approval, and the right build for your site still depends on your installer and your local code.

The warranty, in plain English

A limited lifetime warranty, in writing. This is a summary. The written Homeland warranty is the document that counts.

  • Who is covered: a single-family homeowner for a limited lifetime, and commercial property for 30 years
  • What is covered: manufacturing defects such as peeling, flaking, blistering, rotting and corroding, when the fence is installed to Homeland's instructions
  • If you sell the home: the warranty transfers once to the next owner. Coverage is full for the first 10 years after installation, then steps down 5 percent a year
  • What to do: inspect the fence and register the warranty with Homeland within 30 days of installation, with your proof of purchase
  • Not covered: labor to remove or reinstall, normal weathering, bowing from heat sources such as grills or reflected sunlight, storm damage and improper installation

The real cost of cheap vinyl

Budget vinyl is cheaper on day one. Then come replacement boards, extra labor and a fence that looks old early. A fence that lasts is the cheaper fence over the years.

Built for homeowners, trusted by contractors

Homeowners get a fence that keeps its color and a warranty they can use. Contractors get fewer callbacks, because a stiff, thick fence is easier to install straight and stays straight.
